Vivian Auffant

Puerto Rico

Vivian Auffant is a Puerto Rican researcher and essayist who serves as a faculty member at the University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras. She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Letters from Temple University in Philadelphia. Her scholarly work focuses on the intersection of literary and historical studies, with particular emphasis on historical, ideological, and cultural developments in 19th- and 20th-century Latin America. She previously served as Director of the Institute of Hostosian Studies and currently teaches in the Department of Spanish, where she also serves as Interim Director
