Alice Miquet

Alice Miquet is President of the Montreal Youth Council, where her work focuses on advancing more inclusive cities, with particular attention to vulnerable communities and equitable urban development. While pursuing a master’s degree in urban planning at the University of Montréal, she developed a strong interest in participatory urban governance and democratic city-making. Her academic research examined youth engagement and public spaces in Hanoi, highlighting the often-overlooked perspectives of young people in urban planning and democratic processes.
Professionally, she works as a community housing project manager, supporting the development of affordable housing initiatives while contributing to the revitalization of Montréal’s neighbourhoods.
Alice Miquet previously chaired the “Association of Master’s Urban Planning Students (RÉMU),” where she worked to strengthen collaboration between students and university administration and improve the academic programme through meaningful institutional engagement.
