Atilio Borón

Atilio Borón is an Argentine political scientist and Marxist sociologist. He has been a professor of political and social theory on the Social Sciences Faculty at the University of Buenos Aires since 1986, and is also a senior researcher at CONICET (Argentina’s National Council for Scientific and Technical Research). Borón has served as the Secretary General of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). Borón is widely known for his prolific writings on democracy, neoliberalism, and Latin American politics. His books and essays, published across multiple languages, have become key reference points – making him a prominent voice in regional and international political discourse.
