Eric Touissant

Éric Toussaint is a Belgian historian and political scientist. He holds doctorates in political science from the University of Liège and the University of Paris VIII, and is widely recognized for his activism around debt justice and economic sovereignty. He is the spokesperson and a founding member of the Committee for the Abolition of Illegitimate Debt (CADTM), an international network advocating against oppressive debt structures. Through CADTM, he has worked closely with social movements, particularly in Latin America, promoting alternatives to neoliberal economic policies.
